Andorra Sports Innovation Summit wants to position Andorra as an international benchmark

The Principality of Andorra hosts the unprecedented Andorra Sports Innovation Summit event on October 18 at the Auditori Nacional d'Andorra in Ordino, organized by Andorra Business, Andorra Recerca + Innovació and the Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft (GSIC) with the support of SPSG Consulting.
Andorra as an international benchmark for innovation in sport
In the framework of positioning the Principality as a world benchmark in the sports and innovation industry, the event will feature international representatives of the sector such as the International Ski Federation, the Vuelta, the Tour de France or Microsoft, as well as venues such as Grandvalira , Vallnord and Naturland, and local and international startups. The event will be the subject of talks and exclusive networking sessions for the participants.
The Minister of Presidency, Economy and Business of the Government of Andorra, and President of Andorra Business and Andorra Recerca + Innovació, Jordi Gallardo, will be responsible for kicking off the event. He assures that "sport is one of our strategic sectors and the organization of this event is one more step to position the Principality as an international benchmark for innovation in the sports industry".
This event also aims to give a boost to startups in the category: "We want to help different startups to present their solutions and enhance the identification of Andorra as a benchmark country in which to develop their projects."

On the other hand, the General Director of the GSIC, Iris Córdoba, stated that “professional events are becoming increasingly relevant in the sports industry and from the GSIC we are seeing how different governments show more support for the creation of this type of event. both nationally and locally. Andorra Sports Innovation Summit is an important step for the Government of Andorra, which will allow it to be one of the leaders in this trend, as it will attract investment, create new sources of income and place the Principality in the spotlight at an international level ”.
