The Agreement to avoid double taxation (CDI) between Andorra and San Marino enters into force

The Government of Andorra has reported that, since 1 January, the Agreement between the Government of the Principality of Andorra and the Government of the Republic of San Marino has come into force to avoid double taxation and prevent evasion and tax fraud (CDI) on income taxes.
The CDI with San Marino, which was signed by Finance Minister Eric Jover in San Marino on May 24, as part of the official visit of Prime Minister Xavier Espot, will boost trade relations between the two small states. . Relations have been strengthened in recent years, especially in the framework of negotiations with the EU for the conclusion of an Association Agreement, which the two countries are negotiating together, also with Monaco.
During the visit in May, a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement was also signed with the aim of further strengthening ties in areas such as tourism, innovation and education, among others. , and a protocol on health issues that will facilitate cooperation in situations such as the current health crisis.
With the entry into force of this Agreement, Andorra already has a network of 9 CDIs signed with Spain, France, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Portugal, the United Arab Emirates, Malta and Cyprus. The agreement with the Czech Republic is pending signing. Finally, the CDI with Hungary is pending ratification by the Hungarian authorities.
